Sheriff of Clark County Police in Nevada Joseph Lombardo said that the Las Vegas attack, which killed 59 people and wounded more than 500 others, fired more than 1,100 rounds.
According to US media quoted by an interview with the Las Vegas Review Journal, Lombardo said he was aware of this undisclosed information because of the collaboration between the forensic laboratory of the Metropolitan Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Police also found about 4,000 unused rounds in the hotel room where the attack was carried out, Clark County police sheriff said, adding that the reason for the attack was not known.
Stephen Padock, 64, was shot from the 32nd floor of a hotel he had been staying in Las Vegas on October 1 last night for a crowd attending a concert before committing suicide.
The investigation did not lead to Paduc's motive for his crime, which was described as the worst shooting incident in US history.
